many things can happen here. some indications are that the JV may actually happen. i.e. russians get LB (and parts of LC that are not under the MOC), the chinese and kry go ahead with the JV as planned...BUT

if a buyout was possible, or in the works, how would kry's $400mil dollar write off come into play???

i dont see hugo (via china) paying kry more than $500mil to leave town. why would he if he's looking at maybe losing $2bil years down the road...if kry could somehow use the lost investment/interest AND get $400-500mil it should prop the PPS to $2 a share after the noteholders are paid..

kry, with a fairly clean slate and $400mil in cash would be in a good position to take advantage of some of the better mining opps out there...

just a thought...
