pen, I don't see it as an aside, rather telling the next expected action. What is anyone supposed to do? Including the Chinese? The ball is in Hugo's court. Kry could have said that. But thats too low brow for a formal report.

We've watched illegal miners grab media attention, watched various politicians get axed and replaced. Watched other venues than gold mining get nationalized and read after the fact reports on stuff from cement to electricity to see how nationalization is making things worse and not better. We've read about graft of items like our own paid performance bond and the price given for gold at the sell desk. And we've watched media journalism do a 180, a 360, back 90 again, bouncing to find paying audiences. We surmise collusion. We've even watched Cuba rethinking socialism vs capitalism and the latter trumping, if its true. Who knows? Many thought Castro was dead and his brother was in charge....but...nope...Castro is there. So maybe all this is a fabrication. Hugo loves Castro....the socialist Castro. Its been something of a lesson in modern history.

But IMO we all could do worse than just realize that even for Hugo, his main motivator for action is his own personal desires. MONEY and POWER. IMO he's obviously got a deal going on a share of the illegal mining and its ONGOING until the plug is pulled by his granting a permit. So.......Hello? Do we need wonder on another delay? The permit hasn't been granted? arghhhhh! Do we wonder why?

...yet....do we need wonder on the EVENTUAL outcome?
