There is no explanation for GRZ's movement other than LB is in play along with LC and the JV

Sorry to disagree RE002 but there is the small matter of an almost $2 billion claim which has quite a reasonable chance of early settlement (for a discount) with a stock with just 60 million shares issued. GRZ spent $300 million directly on the property and they have the drill data, modelling and final engineering almost all of which would have to be duplicated by anyone who takes over the Brisas deposit, at what would now be a much higher cost than that $300 million. Just getting that money back and nothing else is close to $5 a share and that ignores the fact that there is over $1 a share in cash in treasury already.

The Venezuelans know that and have already started direct talks with GRZ. Despite the rhetoric that some posters here distribute regarding GRZ, GRZ has like KRY been very careful to abide by the letter of the law and while they were in control of the concession for a long period they never purposely delayed and were always frustrated by lack or timely issue of permits and permissions from the various government authorities.

Their international arbitration claim is strong and even if only 50% was allowed would return $16 a share in cash to the company within 3 years; many investors would consider buying a stock for $1.80 now with that sort of return reasonably assured as a decent speculation.
