It seems to me that the longer we go before resolution to this, the less likely it can be argued that the Chinese have some sort of "hammer" to force Hugo to act.

Also, it has occurred to me that since it will take 18-24 months to get any gold out of the ground, there are other resources that can be pawned off with more immediate effect for Hugo - e.g.: oil, as mentioned here a few posts ago.

Sorry , but all rather depressing. Probably mental exhaustion over this interminable game.
