thanks bonger, was'nt aware of that part of the history (way before my time).

believe it or not, i think one of the best chances for kry to settle outside of icsid with venezuela is BECAUSE of all the shady crap that happened over the years.. south american "business as usual" seemed to be intensified when it came to kry/Las Cristinas.

i know both sides are tainted but imo ven is guilty of some serious acts of corruption/greed/false imprisonment etc. (bad even by south america standards) with regard to LC related bribes/embezzlement/illegal mining (see rangels water treatment plant, the chancellor case, etc) and in the end i doubt either party wants to air out their laundry if they dont have to.......

imagine the stuff we dont know about..... i would think at this point it would be cheaper/safer for ven to just buy us off and shut us up.
