Prior to founding MEZGRAVIS & ASOCIADOS, he was a partner and the coordinator of the Dispute Resolution Department of Travieso Evans Arria Rengel & Paz for more than 12 years, and before that, he was a Baker & McKenzie associate at the Caracas office for 5 years.

• Co-counsel until November 2009 of Mobil Corporation and others, vs. the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). ICSID Case No. ARB/07/27.

• Co-counsel until November 2009 of Mobil Cerro Negro, LTD. in an ICC arbitration proceeding against Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A., and PDVSA Cerro Negro S.A.

• Co-counsel of Eni Dación B.V. v. the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). ICSID Case No. ARB/07/4

• Co-counsel of Vestey Group Ltd., v. the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). ICSID Case No. ARB/06/4. The case was settled, and the proceeding is pending until full compliance of the settlement agreement.

• Co-counsel of a major multinational construction in an arbitration under the Rules of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) against the State-owned Venezuelan oil company, regarding a dispute arising from engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract of an industrial plant. An arbitration award was rendered in favor of the client.
