Mayo, I don't think anyone had to sell their shares to buy the new debt. From what I know of the new debt they will get a 5 bagger or more when this saga ends. They will be first in line if things go bad and still make 20%.

Depending on their cost average they can take a nice loss from selling and still get their pound of VZ flesh.
