Civi...
My thoughts and prayers are with both, you and your wife. I am hoping you are correct, that a good long rest and a tweak in her meds, will make her feel better. It is very difficult when distance separates us from the ones we love and we cannot do anything physically to help them. I understand your frustration and anxiety completely. Soon she will be with you.
This week I am hyper aware of infection and inflamation and the silent way they creep into a body and hold it hostage. My father has been in ICU for the last 6 days. He took a fall last Sunday and while they were scanning his body in the ER, for broken bones, they found a large abscess on his prostate and extensive infection throughout his body and blood. It has been a scramble to isolate the colonies and find effective antibiotics to start fighting the infection. He is almost in a coma and no longer recognizes us, but we hope that we caught this in time. Time will tell.
Not saying this to scare you Civi, but your wife's body is throwing out signals that something is off. My dad didn't heed the warning he received. Have her get a full work-up after you welcome her home.
I look forward to your update.
Pam
