It is better to do a trustee to trustee transfer. (bank to CU). This way you don't get a 1099R from the bank. Meaning no explaination to the IRS at tax filing. I think it is a better way to go. Just my two cents....and maybe the price of KRY soon. Good luck to everyone and have a Happy Holiday season.
