Bilateral Investment Treaty

A Bilateral Investment Protection Treaty has just been signed between Canada and China.

Doesn't Canada have a similar Treaty with Venezuela?

If we have such a Treaty with Venezueal, why isn't the Canadian Govenment doing anything actively to protect Canadian investors in Venezuela?

Shouldn' the Canadian Government be actively involved in Protecting KRY'S investment in Las Cristinas?

What good is any Treaty that the Canadian Govenment won't enforce?
