Venezuela signs agreement with China to exploit gold and copper in Las Cristinas

02:25 pm | Emen. - The president of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, reported in the afternoon on a number of agreements were signed with a delegation from the Chinese group Citic Group.
Among the agreements signed, stands an agreement to begin the exploitation of gold and copper at Las Cristinas. It also was agreed the development of Venezuelan mining map with the help of the Chinese conglomerate. Chavez said that "we talked about other agreements on rail, energy and housing."No specific about other arrangements made.
