Venezuela's Minister of Petroleum and Mining Rafael Ramírez has informed about the incorporation of three blocks for gold development into the Venezuelan Corporation of Guayana (CVG), a subsidiary body of state-run oil company Pdvsa Industrial.
The blocks, commonly known as Guasipati-Callao, El Callao and Sifontes Sur are estimated to hold gold reserves amounting to 81 million ounce.
The minister added that Venezuela's gold reserves account for 133 million ounce.
