Opinion of posting during bad times as insanity is interesting. Obviously, not a two-way street, compared to good times. Minimal, if any, criticism when too many "sunshine and roses" posts happen. That is the nature, and reality, of stock market investors.
The intention of a stock blog board is for investors to question and speculate what is going on with any given company, in this case Crystallex. Other reasons might be floating ideas in order to make better investment decisions, along with other reasons. Summing up a personal situation, as you have done, is appropriate so that investors can commiserate together and is notable in other threads. Spoiler Alert. Those not wanting to read ideas, questioning, or speculation about Crystallex should stop reading here.
Why do they do what they do? Simple. Management's actions benefit themselves.
Why did they do what they did? Difficult to determine at this point. Speculation may be that they forgot to file - simple mismanagement. Another speculation, considered dasterdly nonetheless, might be that this was intentional to dispose of US commons. A third possibility - RM floating the idea that it was an SEC mistake. Unfortuantely, this is SOP when a ticker is suspended. And, it appears that the SEC has had ample time to review the Jan 20-F and hear any discussion argument. CRYFQ remains suspended. However, anything can happen.
Does it really matter at this point? Actually, it does. Quite a bit. If/When this ticker goes grey, there will be a lot of things promoted, such as picking up cheapies, and averaging down, and on and on. This happens with all grey stocks. Statistics are not favorable for tickers going grey because, since Jan 2010, of the 1200 tickers suspended - about 700 have been revoked - and none have uplisted. Not one. That is reality. Now, with all the commiserating going on about owning a stock for years with SP consistently in overall downtrend, retention caused by personal greed, and now suspended, would anyone really want to be a part of actually promoting to others to invest in such a play?
