I disagree. The GRZ arbitrators are not "confused."
Talk to Doug Belanger and you will understand why they are taking more time than the average of about 1 1/4 years to an award following the hearing. The GRZ arbitrators are digging really deep into the damages valuations -- Belanger sees that as a good think and suspects that they are being very cautious to cover all bases with the significant award size that may be coming.
We have a substantial advantage -- not in our case because of the contract/concession thing -- but because our chosen arbitrator is the world's foremost expert in internation arbitration lost profits awards. I would not expect our panel to be as slow based on that expertise.
My expectation is that GRZ will get a very large award, at least 1-1.5 billion, and Venezuela will want to settle with us shortly before <insert some holiday>.
