First, understand that this PR is just free advertising for Foley Hoag. They are bragging about a win that was almost impossible to lose. It is probably the last arbitration that they will ever win for Venezuela.

They (Foley Hoag) are good lawyers and surely know the score, but their client (Venezuela) is not smart enough to listen to their advice, which should be to settle all the arbitrations as soon as they can figure out how to make some deals.

Why almost impossible to lose? Because Highbury was a bigger scam than Vanessa. Highbury couldn't even prove that they had any true interest in what they claimed was expropriated. The US courts booted them for fraudulent activity, and I'm surprised that they even wasted their time in arbitration. (Thus Highbury is totally unrelated to and has no bearing on our case.)

As to Crystallex: Venezuela has no case whatsoever as to liability -- they signed the deal and then cancelled it, period. The only real question in our case (similar to the Gold Reserve case in this respect) is how much do we get -- it's all about the amount of damages.
