I suspect anyone here who tried to say any of this at the time was banned.

I've been here for quite a while now and have never seen anyone banned for positive or negative comments so I would say that isn't a fair statement IMO. I have seen people banned for who have said positive and negative comments but who were also beligerent, disrepectful and down right abusive.
