Hi AR
I agree Nortel was a debacle. Kry is whose because our leader will be taking home way more than $2 million.
Long time ago but ( I MAY BE WRONG - Discuss but don't attack please) you turn over all your shares to litigating firm giving them the leverage necessary to fight on you behalf. This way too they are guaranteed payment if they win. They pay themselves first and You get the rest.
I'm sure this will be addressed in the prospectus. It should tell us the costs and what mechanism Gowling has to ensure payment by shareholders when they are successful.
Also,
If you do not give up your shares you cannot participate in the outcome if successful of this group.
This is where I am not familiar with what happens to those who did not participate. Do we get anything? Or nothing. This is the part that bothers me.good luck to all
Can't answer that question for sure so I won't speculate. My opinion is that those shareholders who choose not to opt in and pay a very small part of the money Gowling recovers as a contingency payment for the work done shouldn't get to benefit from those of us who opt in.
They would be like your neighbour who won't pay his half of the cost of the fence between your and his property but is willing to benefit from you building it.
