JJ, my "conspiracy" theory is that there are players with bigger stakes at the VZ table (Chinese, Russians, CIA?), and this action could potentially trigger a sovereign default that would result in a unwanted scenario for at least one of these players.
If this is true, then Tenor is already in closed-door negotiations.
