BUSINESS NEWS FLASH
It was reported today that Gowling, Tenor and Venezuela completed 2 months of tough negotiations regarding the US$1.4B award given by ICSID and asked Gowling to bypass the courts.
Venezuela agreed to pay out $1.2B as a final settlement of the award saving themselves $200,000,000.
Between Tenor and Gowling, Tenor asked Gowling to remove their lawsuit from all courts and they would give Gowling $300,000,000 plus cost. Since all shareholders represented by Gowling amounted to 100,000,000 shares each share would be worth $3. Gowling agrreed to that and settled out of court.
When Gowling was asked what about the other 300,000,000 shareholders who would not get any money they replied they have no counsel representing them and the case is now settled.
Gowling said what a great Easter present this is. Expect disbursment by Christmas.
After almost 10 years of litigation the Crystallex/Venezuela lawsuit is finally over.
