Not strictly correct. There are buyers for distressed equity - you would need to ask your broker. You could also sell privately but the mechanics of transferring the stock would require a lot of trust.

But I agree with Don, especially as you would be lucky to get a penny per share right now. Consider it a 100% loss and if that changes it's a bonus. Unless you want a tax write-off (which might require an arms-length sale).
