It seems some are not capable of reading what is posted. What I said was: "those consequences are a retraction and apology". That is not a threat, it is a request.

Don retracted the statement and apologised. Seems like it was a reasonable and justified request.

You shouldn't be worried about threats (if there are any). To defame you usually need to be someone who others would find credible.
