spin. (noun/verb) A description or the act of describing negative events in an overly favorable way. Advertising Copy or political hyperbole, especially when intentionally misleading
In this trumpian era, spinning is the new normal. Nowadays, someone that uses lawyers and all the possible tricks to deceive and rob you blindly is a successful businessperson. When someone colludes with insiders to take over a company for pennies on a dollar to share the spoils is not dishonesty or greed, it is business acumen. And the investors that put their hard-earned money to work to help the company become worthy of the greed of profiteers deserve their loss for being greedy and incompetent.
The fact is that, try as you may, you can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time.
Like hope, truth floats, and there is no statute of limitations or court order that can protect you from it.
