It's not 'hardball', Osmo, it's only business, Sonny.  Same thing would happen in any of your bank, frequent flyer, other accounts for lack of activity after a few years.  They are businesses, not free storage companies for your KRY shares. Just deposit $5 and worry about it again in a few years. Our shares won't be going anywhere in next few decades anyway.
