It's unfortunate for the Venezuealan people but our best chance for the eventual sale of Citgo to be allowed is to have Maduro remain in power.   

The US Government (OFAC) would have a hard time allowing Venezuela's largest asset to be sold regardless of the situation there but with a new, legitimate government in place, the sale would be very unlikely.

The Sales Process may not be over until after January when a new presidential administrator takes over.
