While I rarely waste time looking at the Yahoo board anymore, I do check every now and then and saw that vegas is copying posts from here.

Yes, vegas is a loser idiot, but I can give you a great way to deal with him copying (even with changes) posts from this board.

The posts you make here are protected by copyright law. Under the DMCA, ISPs and boards like Yahoo MUST delete any copyrighted materials (like our posts that he reposts) as soon as you advise them of the violation. If they fail to do so, Yahoo is no longer protected from a copyright contributory infringement claim.

Within hours of my first report to Yahoo of vegas copying one of my posts it was deleted.

Critically, if vegas is reported several more times for posting messages from here (i.e. repeated acts of copyright infringement) Yahoo MUST permanently terminate all of his accounts or they lose their DMCA safe harbor.

If you want to report him for a copyright violation, PM me and I will send you a template message for your report to Yahoo. Also, keep a copy of anything he posts of yours from here and your reports to Yahoo, as vegas will be liable to statutory damages under copyright law for EACH post, as will Yahoo if they do not terminate him permanently.
