During a obligatory simultaneous broadcast on Friday, Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez reported that he would give Honduras a USD 2-million aid, after the heavy rains that have fallen for 10 days and caused 25 fatalities.
"We have approved an aid of USD 2 million for Honduras, which is undergoing an ordeal. Some modest assistance came out already, a rescue brigade, because there are shattered bridges and roads," said the president.
"This is not Chávez's aid, but the Venezuelan people's. I do it in the name of the Venezuelan people," he added
