I heard someone say they were shorting gold and long oil on CNBC yesterday and I thought they were definetly jumping the gun.

The market is jittery with news of the unemployment #'s and the ongoing car manufacturers bankruptcies / dealer closures (Chrysler)

I think Gold is reflecting this. I'm watching silver also the spike is not as great there but is following gold.

There is not much of inflation because the ability for consumers to buy stuff is deminished and the Government(s) are deflating money like there is no tommorow which seems to stop the threat of inflation also. I do not give the current policies much hope of success so I see uncontrollable run to gold just like GWMidgets has been posting. Where should we be investing if we are unable to purchace physical gold/silver what will be safe if the money collapses?
