The news of Osama Bin Laden’s (OBL) death has caused a spike in Internet traffic across the web, which has brought an opportunity for criminals to spread malicious software.
Security experts have identified search results in Google images that are redirecting users to malicious pages.
These malicious pages are offering a copy of the rogueware known as “Best Antivirus 2011”.
Rogueware is a fake anti-virus software programs designed to entice computer users into paying for a counterfeit software solution to remove nonexistent threats.
Kaspersky anti-virus has identified this rogueware as “Trojan.Win32.FakeAV.cvoo”. The following is a list of search results that have been found to have vulnerabilities (please note that there may be others):

Al Qaeda

Obama Address
Although several sites are promising pictures as well as a video of the mission to kill OBL, there have been no images or videos of the operation officially released.
Kaspersky labs also identified the following malicious Facebook scam:
“Sweet! FREE Subway To Celebrate Osama’s Death – 56 Left HURRY!”
