why the hell do these guys insist on "setting the price of gold" or "raising rates in concurrence with the POG"???

the best way is for the US to peg its currency to the POG and let gold do what it will... after the initial shock of the US pegging it's currency to gold the POG will go thru the damn roof because the US has the biggest reserve. other nations will clammer for gold because they too will have to have gold reserves to make thier money worth anything.

once gold hits $10,000 oz the situation in the US will look much different. unfortunately china/russia will start digging like mad to catch up so it may not be what's best for the environment.
