Donald MyersCypress / Skyharbour are currently experiencing some technical difficulties with Red Lake drill hole BR09-02. The drill bit is currently stuck at the bottom of the hole. The companies have a few options to rectify the situation and the owner of Chibougamau Diamond Drilling is on site. We are currently at 2748 metres a...nd have been in the NS shear zone since 2673 metres. The footwall of this shear is where the bulk of the gold in the Bruce Channel occurs. The structure and alteration is as good as it gets. We are not yet in the footwall however. The alteration is pervasive and intense. It consists of carbonate (primarily calcite) and biotite. Both these minerals are very soft and
undoubtedly a major factor in the rods getting stuck. When we start drilling again extra measures will need to be taken in order to get through this zone. We are exactly where we want to be and all the signs are there.
