D-BOX is opening office at Deluxe's Burbank California facility to create D-BOX Motion Code(TM) for theatrical movie releases

LONGUEUIL, QC, Mar 2, 2009 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) -- Closer proximity to studios will address content security concerns

D-BOX Technologies Inc. (DBO.A), a leader in motion technology for the entertainment industry, announced today the opening of an office within the Deluxe Digital Studios operations in Burbank, California. This new location will allow D-BOX to be closer to the major Hollywood studios providing them with the required security infrastructure for supplying embedded content in real-time for future theatrical releases.

This announcement comes as D-BOX is preparing to launch a first worldwide theatrical feature incorporating D-BOX Motion Code technology at the Mann Chinese 6 Theatre located in Los Angeles and is negotiating with other exhibitors to follow suit.

D-BOX has already installed six D-BOX MOTION CODE(TM) equipped seats at Deluxe Digital Studios that are available for demonstrations to studio executives and other members of the industry.

"We are excited to be establishing operations in the filmmaking capital of the world," stated Claude Mc Master, president and Chief Executive Officer of D-BOX technologies. "Considering that Deluxe is already one of the main service providers for the movie studios and has the necessary security in place, we look forward to working closely with them as installations come on line."

"Having D-BOX's unique motion editing workstation within our premises clearly demonstrates D-BOX's commitment to the film industry and their increasing visibility," added Rob Seidel, Executive Vice-President and General Manager of Deluxe Digital Studios. "We view this step as a natural evolution in the immersive viewing experience for theatrical and home entertainment."
