A recent article in a reputed french daily paper regarding India's woes with water shortages and diminishing level of wate table indicates that the minimum sustainable quantity of water per person will be reached sometimes in the next decade.
This has the Indian governement scrambling for solutions for better water management and conservation.
It is said that USD $200 billion has been planned to be spent to find a lasting solution to this critical problem.
All aspects of the situation are under study right right now and a special commission will report its recommendations to the government shortly.
