BROSSARD, QUEBEC, CANADA--(Marketwire - Jan. 26, 2011) - DIAGNOS inc. ("DIAGNOS" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:ADK), a leader in knowledge extraction and artificial intelligence, announced today it has acquired mining claims in the Lebel-sur-Quevillon & Desmaraisville area of the Abitibi region (the "Lebel Project"). These properties have been selected by DIAGNOS following in-house technical evaluation of public drill hole and geophysical databases using our proprietary Computer Aided Resource Detection System (CARDS).
Over 3,685 km2 were subject to evaluation. The Lebel Project covers 3,685 km2 and three different models were applied; gold, copper and copper-zinc from which targets were generated. Priority targets, selected based on their high similitude to the known gold, copper or zinc mineralization, led to the staking of these mining claims throughout the modeling area.
These new mining claims are located in the southern band (Caopatina Segment) of the Chibougamau-Matagami Archean greenstone belt, within NTS map sheets 32F07, 32F09 & 32G12. The claims were then split into three groups or "properties". These properties are:
Madelaine Lake - Currie property, composed of 60 map designated claims totaling 3 345 ha in the Currie and Desjardins townships some 35 km northeast of Lebel-sur-Quevillon. The property is host to several historical mineralized occurrences such as: 3.1 g/t AU over 1.0 m & 2.55% ZN over 1.5 m in drill hole samples.
Le Sueur - Stella property, consists of 42 map designated claims for a total of 2 345 ha within the Le Sueur and Boyvinet townships, approximately 7 km northeast of Desmaraisville. The region is host to the Bachelor Lake gold mine (currently re-opening), 9 km southwest of the property.
The Wachigabau property, formed by 33 map designated claims for a total of 1 842 ha straddling the La Ronde and La Ronciere townships. The property is host to a single drill hole which returned 1.44% ZN over 1.0 m.
CARDS is a state of the art computer system that uses the latest artificial intelligence and pattern recognition algorithms to analyze large digital data sets of compiled geo-referenced exploration data, including geological, geochemical, geophysical, and structural data, as well as digital elevation and satellite imagery data.
These properties are available for partnership with mining exploration companies.
