Diamonds North's Corporate Update

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 21, 2009) - Diamonds North Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:DDN) provides a corporate update on the processing status of the mini-bulk samples from the Tuktu and Qavvik kimberlites on the Company's 100% owned Amaruk project, plus upcoming corporate presentations and launch of new website.

Mini-bulk Sample: All bulk samples from Qavvik and Tuktu kimberlites have undergone two separate consecutive passes through the dense media separation (DMS) plant. The initial pass was performed after a primary 6 millimetre crush using a cone crusher. The second DMS pass was performed on the tailings from the first pass after being crushed to 3 millimetres using a high pressure grinder roller. Both concentrates were sealed in separate and secure containers prior to shipping to Saskatchewan Research Council Laboratory (SRC) in Saskatoon where the concentrates will be further concentrated for picking using a grease table. The DMS concentrates began the grease table process on January 20th which is expected to be completed within a week. No picking has started on any of the samples, but will commence immediately after grease tabling.
