after analyzing this deal closer, efl continues to move into JV to reduce risk and do what it does best, i.e. battery. Let Electrotherm be the integrator. It seems that its battery is getting more mature and can move into the next phase, i.e. mass production. Moving the production offshore will get the cost down and be competitive... these batteries will be used in the other projects so the dots seem to be connected... if this is the case, the next logical move is to downsize the Canadian operation as much as it can, perhaps even disposing the plant in Mississauga makes sense to me with the hot real estate market in Canada these days... moves the R&D and high value production (space & military) to NYSERA, moves mass production (zero emission vehicles) to India... the story is getting interesting... we'll see!
