Gents,

I have to question the viability of the 10 minute charge in real terms. According to my very rough math, you would need a source of power of approximately 250 amps at 480 volt 3 phase to charge a 35 KWH battery in 10 minutes from completely dead. Even in fleet locations (Taxi, municipal, bus, etc) having an additional 250 amps available over and above thier normal demand would be unlikely.

Commercial and light industrial buildings generally only have 200 - 1000 amps total supply in the buildings, and it is usually sized based on the intended use of the building, and no larger. This is because the cost to install the power equipment goes up considerably with size. Also, the local power distribution grid operators are unlikely to be able to provide a dramatically increased capacity due to the already overtaxed grid in many municipalities.

So in my opinion, the 10 minute charge is just a lot of hype, and is not going to be feasible even if the battery technology is available.
