Bill,

I don't know for sure, but I always had the impression that it was built primarily as a concept car. Built to prove the viability of the electric car at high speeds.

Strangely though, I read an article (I can't find the link now), were it was stated that the Maya 100 would be available for sale in Norway and Canada but not in the US.
