Message: Conference call

I was very happy with the conference call, I heard what I was hoping to hear regarding the safety of the new battery, this was the key IMO. Miljobil had developed a very safe battery management system. http://ma.ecsdl.org/content/MA2011-02/8/409.full.pdf+html. I thought the main reason for getting Miljobil was for this technology based on the safety issues electrovaya has been having. I don't believe it is a battery problem, more the BMS. Electrovaya has had a team of 7 engineers working on this problem for almost a year now. It sounds like they have resolved the problem and looks like they are receiving alot of interest in their batteries now. Miljobil had other technology usefull to electrovaya but I think the key was their technology to prevent thermal runaway. They stated in the conference call that this is now one of the safest battery systems available, that is exactly what they needed to address. Their opportunities for this year and next sound huge. Dongfeng is being pressured to provide 800,000 EV's ASAP, they are in a rush to start production. The telecom towers in India are just the beginning, they are in talks with africa and middle east customers as well and say this is a big opportunity. They hope to announce more deals in this area this year. The Dongfeng project is for a 2 door car and a 4 door sedan. Electrovaya is in the design and prototype stages with other auto OEM's. With all this being said they state the energy storage market is stronger and their sales pipeline is growing rapidly in all areas. Based on my research I would also expect some big opportunities in marine applications as well. I don't see how they can keep up with these opportunities without another plant so I would expect to hear about a new plant sometime this year, just IMO.
