I think you are missing part of my point. Let me start from the begining and state how I think this all came about. Electrovaya started supplying battery systems to Dongfeng about a year and a half ago. I believe through their JV connections nissan also looked at electrovaya's batteries and because they are also strongly associated with Daimler they have all evaluated electrovaya's batteries. Remember they have been testing these batteries for a long time now. I think together they decided to go with electrovaya and subsequently you have nissan and daimler ending battery production at the same time. They take over the daimler plant as a first step, this allows them to supply daimler and supply overseas customers including dongfeng. If the deal progresses to a licensing deal they will retool all the nissan plants including Tennessee to produce electrovaya's batteries. Germany is big on green energy and wants batteries produced in Germany. This could be why we haven't heard about dongfeng because it is a much bigger deal and involves other players. Just my opinion but I think it makes sense.
