I know it is difficult to see this "small" company growing into one of the major suppliers but lets look at it realistically and technically. If their battery is competitive both technically and cost wise customers will buy it and if it is superior to the competition they will come to them no question. If we look at the important properties one by one you can decide for yourself whether it is a competitive product. Cost- I have a high level of confidence that they are very competitive with their pricing based on the non-NMP process. Energy density- again for me a high level of confidence (approx. 214wh/kg). Safety- based on my research of technical documents regarding separion on-line I am very confident in it's safety. Cycle life- To me this is where they excell now, I have yet to find a competitive battery with higher cycle life. And of course the final thing is the non-toxic aspect which has not only the cost advantage but also environmental and health benefits. This is a very competitive market and if their products are superior either technically, financially or both the customers will search them out and come to them. Everyone will have to evaluate these parameters themselves to determine what they think about electrovaya's products but for me I really think this is the turning point. Until now they did not have the capacity to meet the demand, now they do and have also produced a better battery with probably the best cycle life in the industry, and if the separion separator will give everyone the improved cycle life the demand will be there. In researching some of the batteries out there that are supplying some major companies there are some with much lower energy density and very low cycle life, some as low as 1000 cycles.
