That's cherry on the cake :-)
With upcoming commercial :-) orders and bet delivery of MWh storage unit to utilities + forklift batteries, would we see in the coming months also market coming saying that non-NMP coating is more than a curiosity use by a small Canadian battery Co. ?
Other company try it in the past like Yardney but Electrovaya could be first to bring it at large scale with "Deutsche Qualität".
Many many reasons to doubt about Electrovaya promise due to past history but most interesting time since IPO, Litarion is unbelievable move, Separion top notch separators, Li-Ion market for utilities/industrial is really ramping up. It's a go/no-go step but more and more on the go, seems true that Evonik make reasonable due diligence effort before transfering asset to Electrovaya, due to negative price would have been able to find other opportunities ... such as Leclanché.
Still need proof they are able to transfer non-NMP coating in Kamenz with same quality level present production get with NMP line (dry extrusion process more tricky to control than wet coating) and ISO/TS certification but numerous upcoming technical presentation of Electrovaya with technical data point in good direction. Nice to see they begin to disclose technical data (cycling, ...), see a Sankar presentation years ago, was very well done but with ZERO technical data.
Does Battery's fairy godmother will turned pumpkin into a golden carriage ?
