Since I am an OLD man, I remember when the new computers had about 5 different operating systems. It took several years for Micro Soft to finally emerge the winner. Still Apple hung on and is quite successful today.
I expect we will see the same thing with batteries and battery storage. It may take several years to determine the technology winner. Energy storage is so big, there is room for several winners. Years ago I used "New DOS 80" as an operating system on my computer. Today I would like to try an Electrovaya manufactured battery storage system for my off grid home. I am also grid tied as my batteries got too small to hold all of the solar electricity.
