whysosoon, I believe you'll probably remember the Notorious Wilan financing at approx $6.60 in 2011 after winning the the IP case against the gang of 22 in Texas.
In my conversation with one analyst about the conditions of that financing, ...to do or not to do, he suggested Wilan had no choice. They needed to increase the share count (liquidity) of the stock in order to attract Institutions and funds.
Consolidations to reverse share counts is not attractive to Funds and Institutions if taken too low. I understand they want to present a healthy SP, but on the big boards, less than 30mil shares would be a joke IMO. In this situation, add in the fact Sankar owns almost 40%, that leaves very few shares to trade in the market.
Not sure what they're planning but more than a 1:2 or 1:3 is the maximum consolidation IMO. That would still leave room for a healthy financing. Moves like this make share price evaluation difficult throughout the process. Very unsettling
