I have to agree with the author's assessment.  It does seem like we are all betting on the ability of Dr. Das Gupta to pull this rabbit out of the hat.  The technology (for lift trucks and buses) seems to be there. The sales for lift trucks seem to be lining up and with the impressive ROI I think it is reasonable to assume that those sales will continue to grow.  The unknowns are whether buses will begin to contribute in a meaningful way sooner than later and whether production facilities in North America can be set up either through partnership(s) or a capitalization that doesn't kill the share price. 

It does seem to me that the question of how long it will take the solid-ish state technology reach the point of commercialization is more just icing on the cake. We and Dr. Das Gupta will be very rich if we beat Quantum Scape and/orSolid Power to market.
