Yes,  The manufacturing costs go up with energy.  The Jamestown Plant has an electricity rate of 5 cents per KiloWattHr.  The residential rate is around 14 cents and the industrial rate a little higher with demand charges added.  So behind the meter ESS makes sence especially if you couple it with some PV and wind.  Looks like Jamestown has already side stepped this problem.
