This is an interesting agreement for a couple reasons.
"NFI entered into a five-year agreement with ABS in 2021 and, following two years of extensive development and testing, NFI is now launching ABS batteries into bus production for customer deliveries starting in the first quarter of 2024. ABS will act as a second battery supplier to NFI, and will support NFI’s significant battery-electric production ramp-up planned for 2024 and 2025."
1) NFI started shopping for batteries '21-'22, there's two years of testing and development.
ELVA has to be in a similar arrangement with their bus OEM, why else would they show on their presentations a bus OEM is coming soon.
2) It is not an exclusive arrangement. "ABS will act as a second battery supplier to NFI". Who is the first?
BTW, ELVA has a few on the team closely following develpments at NFI and Nova.
Jason Roy in the Planet Micro Cap presentation seems to indicate an bus announcement will come in this quarter.
