Considering they drilled nearly double the amount of core from what was originally planned (and that the original drill program seemed satisfactory at the time), as well as began an initial program at Carlin, I for one am VERY happy with the progress made. It is only prudent to step back and analyse the data so far to plan the next phase. They seem to have discovered two distinct systems - I am no geologist, but I would expect coming to grips with the interconnection of the systems is no easy task.
They expect this mine (I know I am ahead of myself) to last years, why not take a few months to make sure they get it right the first time and not waste millions of dollars by plunging in headlong without a distinct plan.
