Keep in mind that the stock has trended downward since the spike.. today was no different.. it all still fits within the consolidation flag pattern after the spike. The resistance and support lines both trended downward since the spike and the trading pattern fits right in that flag formation.

And as someone pointed out this stock trended downward just before the last spike, as well. It was far from this volatile, but it did slip before that news.
