Just to get an idea of how much capacity a 12" line has, here's an interesting part of a 1995 article about the gathering lines at Jonah:

"A lagging infrastructure, coupled with the dramatic increase in production from Jonah Field, has kept Jonah Gas Gathering busy. When development action heated up in 1996, an existing 8-inch line was replaced with a 12-inch O.D. line having 100 MMcf/d capacity."

If the plan is to drill multiple wells from the Foldeak-1 pad, then a 12" makes sense. With an IP rate of say 10 mmcf day declining to 3 or 4, times 24 wells from 1 pad, thats 96 mmcf/day.

I would also imagine it doesnt cost all that much more to install a 12" line than it would to install a 2" one.
