Makó - Falcon has no intention to give up on its plans to bring the Makó gas resource to the surface - said yesterday György Szabó director of Falcon's Hungarian subsidiary, TXM Kft.
We wanted to contact the director on Tuesday in relation to the article that was published in the MTI: Following ExxonMobil, for the time being Falcon also abandoning research at the Földeák-1 well. This does not mean that they gave up on gas resource in the Makó trough. Szabó confirmed that yesterday in his call to our editor. He regrets that because of events related to Földeák -1 well, several newspapers reported the end of the Makó gas dream. This is a word game, and it does influence the stock market, but does not cover reality. Work at the rest of the wells continues, and in his opinion the Földeák-1 well still has potential.
